LOKA AND THE MOONSHINERS

Borned from the desire of exploring territories where garage rock meets Congolese folk mutuashi, repetitive music and a kind of pop melancholy, LoKa and the Moonshiners cultivate his hypnotics riffs in this “voodoo” vibration whose musical flame has always been maintained from The Seeds to Oh Sees.
Finalist of the Concours-circuit 2018 belgian contest, LoKa and the Moonshiners perform on stage at once a rock’n’roll and mesmerizing show. Among others, the band has already played on venues such as Rockerill, Botanique or Cabaret Vert festival; and provided support act for bands as Flamingods, Vanishing Twins, The Black Lips, or Oh Sees.
After the release of the single “Innerspace #1” within The Psychedelic Underground Generation compilation, 7 tracks record Under the big trees is released in spring 2023 on Night Leaf Records (12″ vinyls, cds and digital platforms).
They are currently working on the release of their next two records: Can’t close my eyes (ep) which will be followed shortly by Deeper (lp).

___ Deeper originates from a recurring dream. Having become a disembodied spirit in the night, floating, or rather gliding, over the deserted city, I search in vain to return, without knowing where. Flying over some streets, a bridge, a hill, vague reminiscences of memories, I wander, both free and imprisoned. This spirit is the stray dog of Deeper. ___
